Today we talked about the novel"The End of October". It is like an apocalypse to give us humans a warning. Human beings are the most dangerous virus to earth. The spread and outbreak of the pandemic are more like a revelation than a disaster. Men like to play God but nature will fight back. We talked about the writing style of the author, the symbolism, and the themes in this novel. It is an interesting and intellectual session, stimulating my thinking. Thank you, Julia.

Today’s lesson was my first private lesson. We had a lot of conversation, watched video and discussed about the information from video. David is a patient teacher, always give me time for thinking and correct me. Watching video is the best part, it is challenging but fun. It’s worth to learn with him. I really enjoy it.

I shared my story today about durian. In addition, we have a listening about car insurance. The price of insurance is getting high now. We discussed the car price, reasons, and car types.

Sai is always very patient in explaining during class and allows me to learn many new writing strategies to cope with IELTs. Sai also provided me with many related words to learn, which made me gain a lot in these classes.

Tutor was late to join in zoom and left earlier, totally just spent 20 mins. The background was quite noisy. During the class, take time to play TIC-TAC-TOE that caused speaking less and wasted a bit time to do the survey in the class.

It was lovely to share our opinions and thoughts. I always learn something from others even if their opinions are different from mine. Thank you! I've learned new phrases in the last session, and I can express my feelings much more coherently.

We had a great time talking about lots of topics from the beginning of the class straight to the end of it. We talked about the level of Hanna's Mandarin and my English; also discussed the languages and cultures between different countries, the conversation was smooth and happy. If Hanna can correct my grammar or vocabulary more that will be great! :) It's because I'm surely know that I made tons of mistakes in our conversation.
